Officials from the Government of National Unity (GNU) ministries and security agencies responsible for cooperating with the European Union are making arrangements for the upcoming meeting of the Libyan-European Joint Committee. This committee oversees programs and activities conducted by the EU Border Assistance Mission in Libya (EUBAM Libya).
On Sunday, Abdulrahman Khmada, Director of the European Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, chaired a comprehensive meeting at the ministry's headquarters in Tripoli.
A readout by Libya's Foreign Ministry on Facebook said the meeting is part of ongoing preparations for the upcoming joint committee meeting.
The discussions focused on the progress of the first meeting's resolutions and the outcomes achieved by the technical teams, addressing challenges faced by the relevant sectors.
Khmada highlighted the necessity of coordination and communication with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for regular meetings with EUBAM representatives to maximize the benefits of the mission's programs and projects.
