The President of the European Parliament, Antonio Tajani, has called for organizing a working day to support investment in Libya on October the 10th in Brussels.

The Italian news agency Aki reported on Tuesday that Tajani seeks through this invitation to bring together all international and European parties interested in various sectors of cooperation with Libya, especially economic and reconstruction.

Tajani said that economic recovery comes through national reconciliation, which begins through independent democratic elections, saying he wants to coordinate the efforts of all for the benefit of this country.

The President of the European Parliament also said that the European Union has allocated 500 million euros, on top of the billion euros previously earmarked for development projects in Libya.
