The Presidential Council has stated that any movements or deployments by security and military entities must be carried out based on prior instructions from the Council and relevant authorities, and within the defined legal framework.
It emphasized that any actions taken outside this framework will be considered a violation of instructions and will subject those responsible to legal accountability without exception.
In a statement issued on Friday, the Council stressed that establishing stability and maintaining security across the entire country is a top priority, as it is the foundation for any political or economic progress, affirming its role in overseeing and directly guiding all security and military operations.
The Council called on all parties to strictly adhere to the regulations and instructions governing security and military work, stressing that security is a collective responsibility that does not allow for individual initiatives or unilateral decisions that could disrupt general stability.
Meanwhile, sources reported heavy military movements from Misrata toward Tripoli late Thursday into Friday.
According to reports, armored military convoys equipped with heavy weapons moved from the city toward the capital, in what observers say is a show of force in response to possible movements by Haftar’s forces toward Tripoli.
