Local media sources from Sirte confirmed that the so-called Emir (Prince) of zakat bureau of IS, Hamid Malouqa Al-Zliteni, was killed in the violent clashes that took place near downtown Sirte between Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos (Solid Structure) and IS terrorists.

The sources added that five IS militants, who were hiding inside a house in Al-Zaafaran neighborhood in Sirte, were caught by Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos forces, pointing out that three leaders in IS, Mukhtar Al-Busaifi, Majdi Al-Shaali Al-Wirfalli and Abu Banina Al-Wirfalli managed to run away.

Conflicting news also reported that IS militants, who come originally from Sirte, are sending their families out of the city, while some unconfirmed sources said the IS Mufti, Hassan Al-Karami, was injured.

On the other hand, the number of fighters killed and injured from Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos in Wednesday clashes against IS militants in Sirte reached 14 dead bodies and 95 injuries, which are between mild and medium, according to the head of media office at the Misrata hospital, Abdelaziz Issa, who added that most of the injured left the hospital after receiving treatment.
