A dozen of civilians were killed when indiscriminate missiles fell on a residential area in Benghazi on Saturday, a local hospital confirmed.

Al-Jala hospital said the missiles fell on Arad Zwawa and Al-Salmani neighbourhoods leaving 11 people dead. 9 others were also injured, it added.

On Friday, around 10 indiscriminate missiles fell on Benghazi's northern power plant, plunging the city into darkness.

Benghazi has been plunged into widespread violence since the launch of Dignity Operation by renegade Gen. Khalifa Haftar in May 2014. Hundreds of thousands of people fled the city to escape the violence, while many families used schools as a shelter.
