The President of the Republic of Congo, Denis Sassou Nguesso, has arrived on an official visit to Tripoli.
Nguesso was received by the Head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi, upon his arrival at Mitiga International Airport.
After the official reception ceremony, the two sides discussed the Libyan national reconciliation file, which is supported by the African Union. They reviewed advancing the efforts of reconciliation and the role of the African Union in supporting the Libyan-Libyan dialogue in a way that ensures achieving stability and peace in the country.
The two sides also discussed the importance of combining regional and international efforts to enhance the reconciliation process within the framework of the African Union’s commitment to supporting Libya at this critical stage. Meanwhile, Nguesso presented a proposal for a reconciliation charter to the Presidential Council.
