Revolutionaries’ council stresses support for army establishment
The Supreme Council of Libya Revolutionaries –SCLR- reiterated on Thursday their commitment to the establishment of army, police, security and civil institutions as well as combating terrorism and extremism away from external Arab and foreign interventions.
In a statement, the revolutionaries denounced cases of murder, torture and forced disappearances, particularly those occurring on the coastal road between Tripoli and Al-Zawiya where supporters of renegade General Khalifa Haftar are active.
“These supporters of Haftar are deployed in Warshifana, Zultun, Al-Jumail and Ragdaleen and they call themselves the National Army.” The statement said.
The statement held Khalifa Haftar accountable for fragmenting the social fabric in Benghazi and the destruction and devastation he caused in the infrastructure of the city.
