The Libyan Health Ministry said the number of injuries of the explosion of a Sabha fuel tank reached 17 persons, as the Minister of Health keeps following up on the developments of the incident and treatment efforts.

Sabha medical center said Tuesday night it had received 13 persons with burns from the explosion of a fuel tank in the southern city, while the Emergency and Ambulance Apparatuses said it was preparing ambulances to transport some injured persons to Burns and Plastic Surgery Hospital in Tripoli.

Ambulances arrived early on Wednesday morning from southern cities to Sabha to support the Emergency and Ambulance Apparatus teams at Sabha medical center.

The explosion of a fuel tank took place near Hasawna neighborhood in Sabha. The injured persons were sent to Sabha medical center, Sanha International Hospital and Aseel Al-Ghad Hospital. No critical injuries were reported.
