The Municipal Council of Sabratha has denied the existence of any camps for terrorist groups inside their city.

In a statement on Thursday, the council confirmed that claims of some Tunisian media and foreign press, regarding the existence of training camps for terrorists inside the city, are false and baseless.

The council asked all mass media to rely on official sources from within Sabratha when reporting news, saying it would not be responsible for any news or statements issued by other sources.

"We reiterate our commitment to building a state of law and institutions and abandon violence, terrorism, and radicalism." The statement reads.

The Council called all the mass media to visit their city where they might conduct press investigations about the media claims, while ensuring freedom of movement in the city.
