The Speaker of the Tobruk-based House of Representatives, Aqilah Saleh, described the call for a meeting without the attendance of the Speaker himself is illegal, stressing that encouraging members to hold any meeting, emergency or exceptional, is under his own authority as per article (13) from the internal codes list of the HoR.

In a statement issued Wednesday, Saleh considered endorsing the UN-proposed government or amending the constitutional declaration unurgent matters, pointing out that he is going to form a committee, in cooperation with the Presidency Office, which will include legal experts to hear their opinions about the current issues. After that, the HoR will act upon what this committee decides if the 6+6 committee would fail to reach a solution before April 30.

Earlier, the first and second Vice Speakers of the HoR had called for an exceptional meeting session Thursday to approve the UN-proposed government, however; the anti-UN-proposed government members prevented once again the meeting from being held and prohibited the other members from entering the meetings hall by using violence, according to some media outlets.
