Libya's Foreign Minister of the Government of National Accord, Mohammed Sayala, discussed with an Egyptian delegation in Tripoli the reopening of Cairo's embassy in the Libyan capital.

The Foreign Ministry's media office said the Egyptian delegation, headed by the Secretary of the Egyptian Foreign Minister, visited Tripoli to prepare for reopening the embassy to boost bilateral relations and facilitate services to nationals of the two neighboring countries.

The Egyptian delegation also hailed the selection of the new executive authority, reiterating Cairo's keenness on Libya's stability and security, wishing the interim government well in its endeavor to lead Libya to elections by December.

Meanwhile, Sayala said they would provide all necessary assistance to the Egyptian delegation to reopen their embassy in Tripoli, while both parties expressed interest in boosting bilateral relations in different areas.
