A Serbian national who was abducted in south of Libya early this week was found on Wednesday.

Brigade 25 of Border Guard said it had found Miroslav Tomic, an oil worker with the German company Ferrostaal, in a desert place in Waw district, south west Libya, following a search operation in the region.

"There was blood in his head and hand but he is now in good health conditions," the brigade said.

The brigade clarified that the kidnappers have no links to ISIS and they are just a group of bandits who wanted to rob his 4WD car. Apparently, the kidnappers robbed his car and took him west where they threw him in the desert to face his fate.

Miroslav Tomic was abducted on Saturday southeast Libya as he travelled to conduct maintenance work in one of the oil fields there.
