The Head of the Audit Bureau, Khalid Shakshak, discussed with the Head of the High Council of State (HCS), Khalid Al-Mishri, the government’s procedures for distributing the allocations for Chapter Three of the budget (Development Chapter) for 2023, the Bureau’s plan to follow up on its implementation, and the conditions and standards that were followed in the distribution, including distribution among the various Libyan cities and regions, focusing on challenges and projects directly related to services to citizens, and ensuring readiness and good implementation.

These remarks came in a meeting on Tuesday in Tripoli in the presence of a number of members of the HCS and officials from the Audit Bureau, according to the Audit Bureau’s statement on its Facebook page on Wednesday.

Shakshak confirmed that the projects whose value exceeds 5 million dinars have been studied and approved by the Audit Bureau, and that they and the rest of the targeted projects are subject to continuous follow-up and control procedures by the Audit Bureau's branches.

For his part, Al-Mishri called for doubled efforts and the continuation of meetings for the various departments of the Audit Bureau and the relevant committees of the HCS, to follow up on the implementation of projects, especially the strategic ones, in addition to paying attention to fair distribution among regions and ensuring that funds are used in the best possible way.
