‎The Head of the Audit Bureau, Khalid Shakshak, discussed with the Chairman of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), Farhat Bengdara, the Bureau's remarks and recommendations regarding the results revealed by the Bureau's teams tasked with examining and reviewing NOC's accounts and evaluating its performance.

The meeting reviewed the indicators and results of the exceptional budget allocated to the NOC, which aims to increase oil and gas production, by concluding a number of contracts in this regard, and the NOC's expectations regarding increasing production in 2024.

The two sides discussed some projects, including the crude oil pipeline project in the Al Waha Company's fields, in addition to reviewing the settlement related to gas between the foreign partner and the NOC.

Bengdara confirmed NOC's commitment to address the Bureau's observations, take its recommendations into account, and put them into effect.

Meanwhile, Shakshak stressed the Bureau's keenness to follow up on the NOC's projects, especially those aimed at increasing production, until their purpose is achieved and an exceptional budget is allocated for them.
