Foreign Minister Najla Al-Manqoush held a series of meetings with EU ministers on the sidelines of the 7th Regional Forum of Foreign Ministers of the Union for the Mediterranean (UFM), which kicked off in Spain on Thursday.

The chief of Libya's foreign policy met with German Minister of State and Member of Parliament Katja Kohl and exchanged notes on the latest regional and international developments, besides ways to develop prospects for cooperation between Libya and Germany.

The German official reaffirmed her country's support for the democratic path and the promotion of peace and stability efforts in Libya, a readout from the Libyan Foreign Ministry said.

In her meeting with the French Minister Delegate in charge of Foreign Trade and Polarization Affairs, Olivier Bisht, Al-Manqoush reviewed trade and investment ties between Libya and France and ways to develop aspects of cooperation in various fields.

FM Al-Manqoush also had talks with her Spanish counterpart, Jose Manuel Bueno, that focused on bilateral relations between the two countries and increasing cooperation in several fields, including energy, health, reconstruction, and support for stability in Libya.

Libya's top diplomat arrived in Barcelona on Thursday to participate in the 7th Regional Forum of the UFM hosted by Spain in the presence of the foreign ministers of the European Union and its neighbours from the countries bordering the Mediterranean.
