Ten of the Oil Facilities Guard forces were killed and 35 wounded in Sidra's two-day clashes, confirmed the spokesperson of Ibrahim Jodran forces, Ali Al-Hassi.

Al-Hassi said that sporadic clashes erupted Wednesday morning against IS/Daesh militants as they were combing Tuesday clashes areas.

“More than 100 fighters from IS/Daesh were killed and the rest failed to seize the oil storage tanks.” Al-Hassi explained.

Meanwhile, the National Oil Corporation (NOC) has confirmed from Tripoli that five oil storage tanks in Sidra and two others in Ras Lanuf were set on fire.

Firefighters are now battling the massive fires to prevent them from spreading to nearby oil tanks.
