A number of Misrata media figures and activists organized a sit-in in front of the Martyr’s Hall in the city center to protest the maltreatment the Al-Bunyan AL-Marsoos injured fighters are going through in Tunisia and Algeria’s hospitals.

The protesters urged the Presidential Council of the UN-proposed government to act immediately and respond to the needs of the injured of the battle against IS in Sirte, especially that the Presidential Council has vowed to support the battle to liberate Sirte both logistically and militarily; however, it has failed to do any until today.

It is noteworthy that the EU countries have banned Libyan air ambulances that have onboard the injured fighters of Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos from entering their airspace, which obliged the officials such as Misrata hospital to go to Algeria as an alternative, yet many injured fighters who were sent there had complained about the Algerian hospitals’ ill-treatment.
