Tabu Political Movement has reiterated the Tabu tribe’s non-recognition of the Constituent Assembly (CA) as it has violated article number (30) of the interim constitutional declaration regarding concord between minorities.

Article 30 obliges the Assembly to consider the Amazigh, Tabu and Tuareg points regarding the laws to be adopted in the drafting of the constitution.

In a statement issued Sunday in Al-Bayda city, the Tabu Movement stressed that they completely reject the work done by the CA declared the constitution it drafts as invalid.

“The Tabu society sticks to their nonnegotiable rights including identity, language, and participating actively in the political process and administrative departments, as well as the rights of equality and abolishing discrimination.” Concluded the statement.
