Tanasuh TV Channel has denounced the smear campaigns against it, saying they are full of lies.
In a statement on Saturday, the Tripoli-based private channel said the intensive campaigns aim at distorting the channel and turning off its viewers.
It confirmed it is a variety channel and works to increase the awareness of the Libyan people, in particular, and the Arab people in general.
“We provide guidance and education as well as correct epidemiological composition, and we are looking for the truth without prejudice or extremism.” The statement reads.
The statement also reiterated that its programs are based on moderate and balanced curriculum without being excessive, compromising or hyperbolic, renouncing all extremist and deviant thinking, whether it kills, explodes in the name of religion, or is antagonistic to religion, which is all aired on the TV on 24/7 programs basis.
“Our programs fight the extremist thoughts and those who watch our channel clearly understand this.” The statement says, adding that it is an independent channel; not affiliated with any group or party.
Tanasuh TV statement went on to stress that it is well aware of the price of success in the media domain, thus it assures its viewers that it will keep on marching in the same success path holding dearly on to its moderate and remarkable media status so as to provide the best possible for its viewers.
Both Tanasuh and Alnabaa channels are known for their live coverage of anti-Sirraj government protests in Tripoli and Misrata.
On Thursday, pro-Sirraj government gunmen in Misrata ransacked Alnabaa office in the city because of its reports on Sirraj visit to Zliten.
Tansauh and Alnabaa reported the security incidents surrounded the visit of Sirraj delegation to Zliten while pro-Sirraj media insisted that the visit was successful and went on smoothly without any problems.
