The living conditions of Sirte internally displaced persons (IDPs) camping in Tarhouna city are worsening, local authorities have warned.

The head of media office of Tarhouna Municipality Mohammed Sayeed  said the government has turned a blind eye to those IDPs, which added to their daily suffering.

He added that the humanitarian aid that was provided to the IDPs from Al-Madar Mobile Company, Social Security Fund and UNSMIL was not enough, explaining that it was only given to 400 families out of 3000 displaced families inside the city.

Sayeed also appealed to all concerned government authorities to help those families with the needed aid

Thousands of Sirte residents have fled to neighbouring cities to escape the ongoing fighting against ISIS.
