Telecom services

Telecommunications services have been restored at a major station in Tripoli after a suspected sabotage attempt caused a complete outage, Libya’s International Telecommunications Company said on Saturday.

The incident affected the "Abu Salim – KM 4" station, where attackers reportedly cut off the main power supply and damaged backup generators, leading to a total suspension of services.

In a statement shared on its official social media page, the company—part of the Libyan Post, Telecommunications and Information Technology Holding Company—confirmed that its technical team managed to reach the site and restore power, allowing operations to resume in full.

The company did not disclose any information regarding those responsible for the attack, and no group has claimed responsibility.

The motive behind the sabotage remains unclear, and investigations are ongoing.
