The Public Prosecutor's Office announced the arrest of 21 foreign workers and three Libyans for the possession of 310,000 liters of fuel prepared for smuggling in the southern region. 

This arrest came during a security campaign carried out by the Law Enforcement Department and the 10th Infantry Battalion in the southern region, in implementation of the Public Prosecution's orders to monitor and track those involved in fuel smuggling activity, according to the Public Prosecutor's Office. 

The Office further added that 308 gas stations in the municipalities of Sabha, Brak Al-Shati, Um Al-Aranib and Al-Gatroun were supplied with fuel despite the lack of the legal paperwork or registration as gas stations. 

The Public Prosecutor instructed for verifying the legality of commercial activity in all gas stations and order the initiation of criminal cases against those proven to be illegal.
