An Algerian security source unveiled that Tobruk government in eastern Libya had offered to buy armored military vehicles from Algeria to face the security challenges in Libya, pointing out that Algeria demanded an agreement of peace in Libya in return.

The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told Turkish Anadolu News Agency that Tobruk government had lately attempted to buy from Algeria 1000 armored military vehicles, brand Mercedes, which are homemade in western Algeria, for equipping Khalifa Haftar’s forces.

“The Algerian government will not provide any military aids and will not make any military deals unless a peaceful agreement is reached among all Libyan parties.” The source reported.
