The Acting Minister of Interior, Emad Trabelsi, met with Attorney General Al-Siddiq Al-Sour on Sunday to brief him on the ministry's action plan to establish security in the region, which focuses on supporting the security directorates and its affiliates.

The two sides discussed several security issues, including ways to tackle crime, smuggling, illegal immigration, and organized crime.

They also reviewed the arrest and detention procedures and agreed on the need to enhance cooperation between the departments of both sides.

Trabilsi expressed the ministry's desire to raise the capacity of the judicial officers working in police stations and law enforcement agencies through specialized training courses, saying that it would consolidate the concept of security work for these components.

For his part, the Public Prosecutor praised the efforts made by the Ministry of Interior in maintaining security, underscoring the importance of adhering to the criminal procedures rules.
