The Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Othman Jerandi, on Sunday made a telephone call to the Libyan Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Government of National Unity (GNU), Najla Al-Manqoush, with the view to discuss the framework of coordinating the positions of both countries in supporting the Palestinian cause.

Jerandi revealed the efforts made by Tunisia, based on its non-permanent membership in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), to assist in putting an end to the crimes committed by the occupation forces against the Palestinian people.

He affirmed that Tunisia seeks to pressure the occupation forces to abide by the international decisions, appealing to the international community to intervene with urgency in order to protect the Palestinians and end the Israeli military attacks.

He added that curbing the expansion plans which undermine the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people must be at the forefront of immediate action.

Both sides also discussed relevant developments in joint relations and methods to push them forward in all fields.

Jerandi and Al-Manqoush acknowledged their appreciation for the decision to resume Tunisair flights to both Mitiga Airport in Tripoli and Benina in Benghazi beginning from Monday.
