Tunisia has renewed its full support for the forming of a national unity government in Libya and for the efforts made by the neighboring countries and the UN to search a peaceful solution for Libya’s crisis.

Speaking to Tunis-Africa news agency today, the Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Taieb Baccouche reiterated his country’s commitment to ensure that Libya forms a government of a national unity, which would pave the way for a democratic transition and allow the constitution to be enacted.

He went on to add that while Tunisia is strongly in favor of the peaceful solution in Libya, it remains totally against any military intervention in its domestic affairs, unveiling that a meeting is to take place in Algeria on June 5 to discuss the Libyan status quo.
