The Turkish ambassador in Libya, Ahmed Dogan, expressed his country's readiness to cooperate with Libya in the field of electric power. 

The Executive Director of the General Electricity Company (GECOL), Ali Sassi, expressed in a meeting with Dogan at the company's headquarters in Tripoli readiness to open bridges of cooperation with all Turkish companies.

The two sides also discussed ways to return the Turkish company to the implementation phase of the Ubari gas-fired power plant and Khaleej power station in Sirte.

Turkish construction company ENKA Teknik suspended activities in Libya after an unknown armed group kidnapped four engineers working at the Ubari plant early last November.

The Turkish company stated that it would not complete the the power project until the kidnappers release them.
