The UN’s top envoy to Libya, Hanna Tetteh, has held a series of high-level meetings at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Turkey, focusing on revitalising Libya’s stalled political process.
Tetteh met with the foreign ministers of Egypt, Algeria, and Tunisia in an effort to reactivate coordination mechanisms among Libya’s neighbouring states.
The talks centred on fostering regional dialogue and support for national reconciliation.
She also held discussions with Turkish officials on unifying Libya’s budget and state institutions, and met NATO representatives to assess security developments in the country.
In a separate meeting, the UN envoy was briefed by the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court on ongoing investigations in Libya.
Tetteh stressed that international and regional cooperation remains crucial to advancing peace, stability, and democratic governance.
