Unauthorized presser puts Kobler in embarrassing situation
UN envoy to Libya Martin Kobler had to stop his press conference in Tripoli on Friday and leave the hall angrily when the Head of Foreign Media Department Jamal Zubia interpreted his presser and asked him for permission.
"Who gave you the permission to hold this press conference?" Zubia asked.
"When you want to hold this press conference, you have to take permission from Foreign Media Department, it's a law state." Zubia added.
Sources said Kobler refused to appear in a joint press conference with GNC First Deputy Awad Abdul-Sadiq, who made it clear that UN-brokered draft should be amended first before the GNC joins Skhirat agreement
In his presser, Kobler said Skhirat agreement is final and no way to new amendments.
