The Resident Representative of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), Michele Servadei, arrived in Tobruk on Sunday and discussed with its Mayor, Faraj Bual-Khatabiya cooperation between the UN organization and the municipality.

The meeting, which the UNICEF team in Benghazi attended, focused on establishing a safe space and health system support for children, besides an education training program for teachers.

They also installed an environmentally friendly medical waste machine in the Tobruk Medical Center that destroys plastic and rubber.

In addition to the city's medical centre, the EU-funded machine could serve five primary health clinics that provide care for around 150k people.
