Al-Zawiya Coast Guard has intercepted a trawler, used for smuggling fuel and diesel, in the Libyan waters with four seamen on deck.
A Tunisian captain, a Ghanaian mechanic, and two Egyptian nationals were arrested, the coast guard said, adding that the four sailors did not have ID cards or medical certificates with them.
The trawler, which was so rickety, was loaded with 100 tons of fuel and had no country flags, navigation lights nor any names engraved on it. The four sailors was taken to Al-Zawiya prosecutor fir investigations.
