The United States has completed a three-day conflict resolution training program for local leaders in Murzuq, Libya, to support reconciliation efforts in the region.
The program, organized by USAID in partnership with the American Bar Association, focused on integrating practical strategies for resolving disputes into local governance.
Christopher LaFarge, USAID's representative in Libya, described the initiative as a response to Murzuq’s request for assistance in fostering stability.
The training featured key members of the municipality’s steering council and local stakeholders, emphasizing consensus-building practices crucial for community peace.
The U.S. Embassy reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Libyan communities in overcoming challenges and creating a sustainable path to peace and development.
