The US embassy in Libya has denied circulating reports claiming that the Trump administration is working on a plan to relocate Palestinians from Gaza to Libya.
In a post on X, the embassy said: “The report about alleged plans to transfer Gaza residents to Libya is untrue.”
A spokesperson for the US State Department and National Security Council told NBC News: “These reports are untrue.”
The spokesperson added, “The situation on the ground makes such a plan unfeasible. No such plan has been discussed, and it is not a logical option.”
NBC News reported on Thursday that the Trump administration was working on a plan to permanently relocate up to one million Palestinians from Gaza to Libya.
