THE Minister of Youth, Fathallah Al-Zani, has held talks with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in a bid to strengthen cooperation on development initiatives targeting young people.
In a meeting held in Tripoli with UNDP’s Resident Representative, Sophie Karmkhadze, both sides discussed ongoing projects and prospects for long-term collaboration. The talks were attended by technical teams from both the Libyan government and the UN agency.
Karmkhadze highlighted the UNDP’s focus on sustainable development, climate action, and environmental protection.
She stressed that the agency aims to ensure continuity and sustainability in its projects, delivering lasting impact beyond the end of project timelines.
Meanwhile, Minister Al-Zani underlined the strategic importance of investing in Libya’s youth, who make up a significant portion of the population.
He described international partnerships as vital to national priorities, saying they could deliver benefits on both local and global levels.
