Tripoli-based Al-Ahli team said goodbye to the African Champions League despite winning 2-1 against ASEC Mimosas from the Ivory Coast Wednesday evening as part of the second leg match in 16-round, which was held in Al-Shathly Zweitin stadium, Tunisia.

Al-Ahli scored first at the minute 33 by Zakareya Allafi’s goal, however, ASEC tied the score by Panick Zakri after 8 minutes, then in the second half and at the minute 80, Allafi scored against by a penalty kick to end the game 2-1.

However, Al-Ahli failed to get over with the Libyan soccer’s failure juncture against the Ivorian teams, thus it lost the chance to qualify for the 8-round by the aggregate score of the two matches, which is 3-2 for ASEC, as Al-Ahli lost the first leg match in Abidjan 2-0.

When home, Al-Ahli is going to prepare for his next match in the 16-round of the CAF Confederation Cup.
