Al-Ahli Tripoli won its first match at the CAF Champions League preliminaries against Ghana’s All Stars 3-1 at Tamale Stadium, Accra on Sunday.
Al-Ahli’s Moayad Allafi scored the first goal at the minute 24 of the first half, then he revisited Ghana’s All Stars bar with a second goal at the minute 50 in the second half, while at the minute 65, Anis Saltu scored Al-Ahli’s third goal.
All Stars’ Richard Arthur scored the only goal to save his team’s blushes.
Al-Ahli Tripoli and All Stars will play the second leg match in Tunisia next week, when Al-Ahli will need any win score or a draw to qualify to the next round of the CAF Champions League.
