The Libyan Al-Akhdar has qualified for the second preliminary round of the African Confederation Cup after his return match against the Al-Khartoum Al-Ahly of Sudan ended scoreless on Sunday.

Al-Akhdar won the first leg match against the Sudanese last Sunday at the Benina Martyrs Stadium, with three goals to null.

The return match was held on Friday at the Benina Martyrs Stadium after the African Union refused to adopt the Sudanese team stadium.

Despite labouring for much of the game, Al-Akhdar wasted many opportunities.

As for Al-Ahly of Sudan, they produced few scoring chances, including a shot that was relapsed by the crossbar.

With this result, Al-Akhdar will face Azam F.C. in the next round.

Libya's other representative in the African Confederation Cup -Al-Nasr- was exempted from the first preliminary round and therefore, automatically qualified for the second round.

Al-Naser will wait for the Djibouti SS teams (ASAS Djibouti Télécom) and Kigali of Rwanda (AS Kigali FC) match to know who will play against him in the second round.
