The first leg of the first round in the Eastern Region of the Libyan Football League saw victories for Al-Hilal and Al-Nasr, while the match between Al-Akhdar and Al-Ahly Benghazi ended in a goalless draw.
In the city of Shahat, Al-Hilal secured a valuable 1-0 away win against Al-Sadaqa, with the goal scored by Hami Al-Tunji. The win raised Al-Hilal’s tally to six points, benefiting from the three bonus points awarded for topping their group, while Al-Sadaqa remained at one point.
In Al-Marj, the clash between Al-Akhdar and Al-Ahly Benghazi ended in a goalless draw, bringing both teams to three points.
In the third match of the round, Al-Nasr edged past city rivals Al-Tahaddi with a 1-0 win, thanks to a first-half goal by Tunisian defender Mohamed Jouini. The win marked Al-Nasr’s first and took them to six points, while Al-Tahaddi remained at the bottom with just one point.
Later this evening, the first round of the Western Region’s league matches kicks off with two big clashes: Al-Ittihad vs. Al-Olymbi and Al-Madina vs. Al-Ittihad Al-Misrati. The round concludes with a highly anticipated encounter between the top teams of the first round’s groups: Al-Ahly Tripoli and Al-Swehli.
