Al-Sweihli secured three additional points after it had won 2-1 over Al-Itihad on Friday at Misrata stadium in a delayed match from the sixth round of the second group at the Libyan Soccer League.

The two goals for the Al-Sweihli were scored by Mohammed Al-Mangoush and Ahmed Abu Dabbus, while Al-Itihad’s goal was scored by Ahmed Al-Zuwai.

Therefore, Al-Sweihli now holds the third position in group (2) with 22 points and still has a match against Tripoli-based Al-Ahli, while Al-Itihad has now only 20 points in the fourth position and also still has a game versus Al-Ahli.

Al-Itihad will be able to qualify for the five-team round only if it beats Al-Ahli and Al-Sweihli loses against Al-Ahli as well, but Al-Sweihli would easily qualify just by drawing with Al-Ahli regardless of Al-Itihad’ game score.
