The Libyan Al-Ittihad football club began competing in the preliminary round of the Orange CAF Confederation Cup 2016 by beating the Nigerien club, Saun Deep, 4-1 in the match that took place on Friday in Al-Taieb Al-Mihiri stadium, in Sfax, Tunisia.

Al-Ittihad scored first at minute 09 by Osama Ishtiba, while Saun Deep scored at the middle of the first half by Ali Eidi, after that Al-Ittihad’s player, Abdul Muain, could not score a penalty for the team at the 35th minute, however, Al-Ittihad’s footballer, Mansour Al-Burki ended the first half with a second goal for the Libyan team.

In the second half of the match, Al-Ittihad developed his attack strategy to score more goals, and thus the team scored a third goal by the head of Al-Mutasim Bi-Allah Daw, and then the fourth goal by a kick from Mohammed Al-Tarhouni.

The first match for Al-Ittihad was fantastic and a positive motivation for the second-leg one, which will take place on February 27 in Niger.
