The Libyan Soccer League kicked off Thursday after stopping for two years. The league started with two opening matches of the first week of the second group.

In the first match, Al-Madina beat Al-Tarsana 2-0 at Tripoli International Stadium. The first goal was scored from a penalty in the first half by Anis Al-Salto, while Al-Madina’s second goal came at the 6th minute of the second half by Mahmoud Al-Boayshi.

While in the second match, Al-Shatt beat Al-Wihda 3-2 at Janzour Academy Stadium. Al-Shatt’s win was secured by a hat-trick of Ahmed Kerwaa, marking the first hat-trick in the resumed Libyan Soccer League. Al-Wihda’s goals were scored by Wajdi Bahroon and Ahmed Abdelaziz.

It is worth mentioning that Al-Sweihli vs Al-Sharara match has been put off due to the current situation in Misrata. Moreover, on Friday, Al-Itihad will play Al-Mahalla and Khaleej Sirte will play Abi Al-Ashahar.
