Al-Sweihli won his fourth consecutive match in the African Volleyball Championship when it beat the Championship host team, Al-Zamalik from Egypt 3-2 on Sunday.
Similarly, Al-Ahli won his third match in a row as it beat Al-Nahda from Sudan as part of the fourth group.
Thus, Al-Sweihli now qualifies for the quarterfinals of the African Volleyball Championship as it topped the first group with 11 points while Al-Ahli came second on the fourth group with 8 points behind the top team, Samouha from Egypt, yet Al-Ahli has advanced toward qualifying for the quarterfinals.
The two Libyan volleyball teams will play their last match in the groups round on Monday as Al-Sweihli faces GSB from Congo, and Al-Ahli Benghazi faces Fab Yundi from Cameroon.
