The Libyan athlete, Yousif Ben Shariha, has officially qualified for Taekwondo games (weight under 58 kg) in the upcoming 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.

Ben Shariha qualified for the sports event after he came second and was crowned with a silver medal in the African Championship for Taekwondo in Agadir, Morocco, coached by Mohammed Abu Al-Qasim, along with other athletes, namely: Tasneem Al-Taweel, and Adam Shariha.

Worth mentioning is that Ben Shariha won the silver medal in Agadir after he beat the Ghanaian national, Tiransse Asari, Ethiopian Sissi Pappa Kidojani, and the Moroccan Omar Hajimi.
