The Libyan Football Federation (LFF) said that it received Sunday an official letter from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for the accreditation and participation of four Libyan clubs in the African competitions for the sports season 2018-2019.
According to the regulations adopted by the CAF for the participation of clubs in its competitions; countries with a classification from 1 to 12 will be allowed to participate in the competitions with four teams each.
Libya came in ninth place in Africa in the latest FIFA rankings, and its representation in the coming African competitions is likely to be as follows: Al-Naser and Al-Ahli Benghazi to represent Libya in the African Champions League, While Al-Ittihad and Al-Ahli Tripoli will play in the CAF Confederation Cup.
