The Head of the General Referees Committee at the Libyan Football Federation (LFF), Mohammed Al-Jallali, stated that the first phase matches of the Premier League’s Championship Round (the “Hexagonal League”) will be officiated by local referees.

Al-Jallali added that clubs wishing to bring in foreign referees must cover the financial cost themselves, which can reach up to 150,000 Libyan dinars.

Regarding fan attendance, the spokesman said that the Ministry of Interior in the eastern-based government has informed them that fans will not be allowed to attend the Championship Round matches in Group One.

The lineup of the teams qualified for the 2024–2025 Championship Round from the four groups was finalized on April 07. 

From Group One, Al-Nasr qualified as group leader with 29 points, followed by Al-Akhdar with 28 points, and Al-Tahaddi in third place with 25 points.

From Group Two, Al-Hilal topped the group with 34 points, followed by Al-Ahli Benghazi also with 34 points but trailing on goal difference. Al-Sadaqa made history by qualifying for the first time with 24 points.

From Group Three, Al-Swehli qualified before the final round with 37 points in first place, followed by Al-Olympi also with 37 points, and Al-Ittihad in third with 25 points.

From the fourth and final group, Al-Ahli Tripoli led with 39 points, followed by Al-Madina with 31 points, and Al-Ittihad Al-Misrati in third with 23 points.
