Libya’s national soccer team drew South Africa 0-0 in the second round of qualifiers of Group 5 for AFCON, which will be held in Cameroon in 2019.
Mediterranean Knights played very well throughout the match which was held in Durban in South Africa.
Libya was the owner of the ball for most of the two halves with few chances for South Africa.
The draw gives Libya one point but keeps it on top of the group with goal difference from South Africa as both now have four points.
In another match for the same group, Nigeria won over Seychelles 3-0 to secure 3 points and come third in the group.
The upcoming round is very crucial as the competition will grow over topping the group since Nigeria closed in on both Libya and South Africa which both have 4 points.
Nigeria to play Libya and Bafana Bafana will play Seychelles on October 10.
