Libya’s Minister of Youth, Fathallah Al-Zani, has held talks with Ethiopia’s Minister of Women and Social Affairs, Ergoge Tesfaye, to explore greater cooperation between the two countries in youth development.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the African Youth Leaders Summit in Addis Ababa, held under the theme "Unleashing Youth Potential for a Prosperous Africa."
According to the Ministry of Youth, Al-Zani conveyed the support of Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dbeibah for enhancing bilateral ties with Ethiopia, particularly in youth affairs, as both nations face shared challenges across the continent.
Meanwhile, Tesfaye praised Libya’s efforts to empower young people and welcomed the country’s “Reviving Life” initiative, which has resulted in the creation of local youth councils and new youth centres.
She also expressed Ethiopia’s willingness to strengthen both bilateral and regional collaboration to help realise the aspirations of Africa’s youth.
