After resuming work once the rift with the Libyan Football Federation was solved, the Contests Committee said Monday will see the first matches of the second round of the Libyan Football Cup 2016.
As part of the eastern group matches, Al-Hilal will play Benghazi Stars at Benina stadium in Benghazi in the opening match of the round, while Al-Akhdar will play Darnes at Omar Al-Mukhtar stadium in Al-Bayda.
On Tuesday, Al-Ahli Benghazi will play Shabab Al-Jabal at Benina stadium in Benghazi and on Wednesday, Al-Naser will play Al-Qala at Benina Martyrs stadium.
In the western group, Al-Itihad will play Al-Sweihli on Wednesday in a very heated match at Misrata stadium, while Al-Madina will play Al-Azima on the same day at Tripoli stadium.
The draw of the second round saw Al-Ahli Tripoli and Abi Al-Ashahar teams go through to the quarterfinals.
