The Libyan Football Federation announced on Saturday the commencement of anti-doping tests by randomly selecting samples from players participating in the Championship Round of the Premier League, as part of efforts to ensure integrity and fair play.

In a statement published on its official Facebook page, the federation said this step reflects its commitment to promoting the principles of integrity and fair play. It forms part of its broader anti-doping procedures for the Libyan Premier League, conducted in cooperation with the Libyan Anti-Doping Committee.

The statement clarified that the tests will be carried out randomly during the first and second rounds of the league, as well as the relegation playoffs, in accordance with standards and regulations set by relevant international bodies.

The federation called on all clubs to fully cooperate with the specialized medical teams responsible for collecting and analyzing samples, emphasizing that this measure is an essential part of the federation’s efforts to develop Libyan football and align it with international standards.
