The Libyan national soccer team has advanced one rank on the list of the FIFA World Ranking as it came 85 internationally on Thursday morning.

Libya collected 417 points, the same as November, to advance one rank ahead of its November rank, which was 86 internationally.

Therefore, Libya is now at the 19 rank on the African teams’ list and 7 on the Arab teams’ list.

Libya was eliminated from the qualifiers for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, which will be held in mid-January in Gabon. However, the Libyan team is still competing in the qualifiers for the Russia 2018 World Cup, after losing the first two matches to Congo and Tunisia respectively.
